Valuable backlink checker.

Instead of showing just the 10 most valuable backlinks, this tool now shows the 100 most valuable backlinks pointing at a specific URL! Use the backlink tool to check the 100 most valuable backlinks for a specific URL sorted by (SEOmoz) Page Authority. Check the most important incoming links for pages on your own website or your competitors. Quality backlinks are still considered as one of the most valuable SEO ranking factors. Optimize the backlink profile of your domain and specific pages to improve your Domain Authority, Page Authority and search engine rankings.

Top 100 most important equity links

The top 100 equity links are generated based on these rules:

  • Depending on your selection:
    • External backlinks pointing to a specific page
    • External backlinks pointing to your complete website
  • The links are followed (nofollow and 302 links are removed)
  • The links are sorted based on Page Authority
  • The links are pointing to your web page from an external website

Please note that If the expected number of backlinks doesn’t match the Total link count.. This is in most cases caused by the fact that the Moz API only returns 25 link per external domain and not the complete list of site wide links.

The returned Backlinks

The most valuable links tool returns these metrics for the links pointing to your web page:

Use the export function to generate a .CSV file for Excel. The valuable backlinks checker uses the Mozscape / Moz API to gather authority and link data. Small_Powered(full) copy

Thanks so much for offering this helpful tool. It is very useful. In case you want feedback, I think it would be great if you could please also consider including another column to display the linked page (i.e., the actual page that the backlink goes to on the domain). When selecting “All pages on this domain” it is difficult to know which page each backlink is going to on the domain. Thanks for your consideration.

    Keep up the great work!

Hi Chris, Thanks for the feedback!

That’s a pretty obvious improvement, which I’ve completely overlooked ;-)
So thanks again for pointing this out and I’ve added your suggestion to my to-do-list.

It’s a great tool and thanks for making it available for free. You can however improve it even when you show limited results. Currently it shows many sitewide links – I just used your tool to check backlinks to one of my sites and it showed sitewide links only from 2 domains.

      Hey Sarika,

I’ve also encountered these results and it would be a major step forward to group these results by domain. The problem however is the monthly API quota in this case. Because I have to do a lot more request to generate the report as you would like to see it.

So for now I’m unable to solve this problem.

    Hi there,

I’m getting an error ” Unable to check URL, status code: 403 Forbidden”

I think it’s because I’ve blocked a few countries in cloudflare – do you know which countries / the IP for where the search is coming from?

I’m trying to search the Backlink Tool / Links checker -> External Links -> All pages (and also I tried this page option but both give the error).

Please let me know what I can do?
(My site is working fine for me and it’s working for http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com too so my site is not down)

    Best,
    Lana

What’s the difference between “This page” and “All pages on this domain” ?

    • Admin

      Hey akomeogi

The difference is as mentioned above:

      1. “This page” = External backlinks pointing to a specific page
      2. “All pages on this domain” = External backlinks pointing to your complete website (on a specific domain).

Great tool. Easy to use and easy for me to read and understand the SEO metrics I was looking for. Nice to see an SEO tool that isn’t cumbersome and doesn’t require you to jump through hoops! Well done.

    HI
I have used different tools and all tools show me different backlink numbers. Why is that so?

    • Admin

      Hey Dharmesh,

My tool is designed to return the 100 most valuable backlinks for a domain. Besides the fact it is limited to the first 100 results it only returns equity links (because they are the important links).
For more info please check this post: http://www.seoreviewtools.com/what-is-link-equity/

If you have other questions, just let me know!

      Hi Techeep,
If you’re looking at the statistics returned by this tool you’ll see the exact number of external equity links pointing to the root of your domain or a specific page.

In your case all the links found by the mozscapi api are non-equity links. The Alexa.com backlink checker does return the number for all backlinks equity or non-equity backlinks.

This tool only shows the top 100 most valuable backlinks and found no equity links to return for your site.
